It's Fire, the second piece of my elements serie. The first one is
Sea Dancers - Water ( I'll rework it since it looks flat and a little bit sketchy compared to the fire one )
I've wanted to use magma instead of fire because I consider it as more "natural" since human beings can't really create magma (at least, not totally the same as the volcano's one). The horns symbolise her power, she's not meant to be an evil creature but since volcanos are feared by humans, they often associate it to evil forces. It may look "cliché" but I've enjoyed painting it, it has been a challenge to paint hot glowing lava.

Photoshop CS and a wacom intuos 3A4, approx 35 hours (maybe more). Everything has been painted with a round hard edged brush. I've also used round soft brush for the glow. I'll try to do a tutorial if some of you are interested in it
